Over the past two months, Summit Truck Group has held HX Events at 10 of its dealership locations, featuring open houses with ride and drive opportunities.
The open houses were held in Oklahoma City Okla., Little Rock Ark., Albuquerque N.M., Farmington N.M., Joplin Mo., Kansas City Mo., Springfield, Mo., Lubbock, Tex., Midland, Tex., and Abilene, Tex.
More than 1,000 Summit customers have been introduced to the International HXTM Series product line through these events, with many of them taking advantage of the opportunity to test drive the truck.
International Trucks released its new HX Series product line in February 2016, and the HX is available in four different chassis configurations, depending on application requirements, including long or short hood, and set-forward or set-back front axle.
The HX models feature one of the industry’s only aluminum cabs dedicated to severe service applications. Its proven high strength and lightweight design includes riveted and bonded lap seams for increased strength and improved serviceability versus welded cabs. The HX Series has been designed with a large windshield and sloped hood to provide excellent driver visibility. The HX Series’ unrivaled agility is a result of up to a 40-degree wheel cut, standard wide-track front axles, and dual steering gear for axles 14,600 pounds and above.
Corporate sponsors of Summit’s HX Events included Navistar, International Trucks, Hendrickson, SAF Holland, Allison Transmission, Exxon Mobil, Randall Reilly, Cummins Engine, Meritor, Dana, Cummins Filtration, ATI, Sir Speedy, Weller Truck Parts, Western Refining, Largo Tank & Equipment, Brewer Oil, Eaton Road Ranger, Fleetrite, Pana-Pacific, Caterpillar, Weller Reman, Seats Inc., and Michelin Tires.
