Iowa 80 Truckstop has announced a slate of five performers who will take the stage July 14 through 16 to entertain attendees at the Walcott Truckers Jamboree in Walcott, Iowa.
“We have a great lineup this year,” said Heather DeBaillie, marketing manager for the Midwest truck driver Mecca. “Our performers are fan favorites.”
On Thursday, July 14, attendees can enjoy the music of Dani Lynn Howe and headliner Clare Dunn. “Dani Lynn is sure to be full of energy and playing our favorites,” says DeBaillie. “Clare Dunn has just released her new single ‘Tuxedo.’ Dunn is an accomplished guitar player and spent last year opening for Miranda Lambert.
Friday, July 15th will feature local favorite North of 40 and Sammy Kershaw. Kershaw is famous for his career hits “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Third Rate Romance,” “Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On,” “Queen of My Double Wide Trailer,” and many more. “
Trucking favorite Lindsay Lawler, will perform Saturday afternoon, July 16th. “Lindsay is the spokesperson for trucking’s Highway Angel Program and brings a lot of spunk to her performance,” according to DeBaillie.
The 2016 Walcott Truckers Jamboree will also feature a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display, Iowa pork chop cookout, more than 150 exhibits, Trucker Olympics, carnival games and two fireworks displays.
In addition, there will be a 100th birthday party for Iowa 80 Trucking Museum’s 1916 Mack AC and loads of fun for the whole family. Admission and parking are free. Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
