CRST International, among the largest specialized trucking companies in the United States with 2013 revenues projected to exceed $1.3 billion, has purchased BESL Transfer Co., an Ohio-based short-haul flatbed trucking company, according to KCRG-TV9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Dave Rusch, president and CEO of CRST International told the TV station that the purchase of BESL Transfer complements CRST Malone, which CRST International acquired in 1984. CRST funded the purchase through existing cash reserves, allowing the company to remain debt-free.
