Bridgestone Names New VP of Marketing for Commercial Tires

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations has named Matthew Stevenson as its new vice president of marketing for the company’s commercial tire division. Stevenson has an extensive background in marketing for commercial vehicle and component companies.

Most recently, he was general manager of North American Field Operations and Marketing for Meritor Inc., a Fortune 500 company that manufactures drivetrain components for commercial vehicles. In this role, Matthew was responsible for the leadership of the DriveForce organization, including field sales, service, training, fleet and dealer relationships and product marketing for the truck, trailer and specialty business units.

Before joining Meritor in 2010, Matthew held several positions in sales and marketing at Daimler Trucks North America. His decade at Daimler included the position of chief operations officer for Daimler’s Mitsubishi Fuso division.

Stevenson earned a bachelor’s degree in management from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
