Bendix Safety Products Going on 331 New Saia Tractors

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems is providing a range of active and supportive safety systems to Saia Freight, a less-than-truckload carrier based in Johns Creek, Ga., with coverage in 34 states and a network of 147 terminals.

Saia said it is equipping 331 new Volvo tractors with solutions from the Bendix safety technology product portfolio. Among these safety innovations are the Bendix ESP Electronic Stability Program full-stability system; Bendix Wingman Advanced – A Collision Mitigation Technology; Bendix ADB22X air disc brake; AutoVue Lane Departure Warning (LDW) System from Bendix CVS; and Bendix BlindSpotter Side Object Detection System.

Saia LTL Freight has long been known for its safety measures and was recently recognized by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Safety Management Council with first-place honors for its outstanding safety record.
