A sampling of Volvo Truck’s VHD product range will be on display Tuesday through Friday during the World of Concrete 2016 event in Las Vegas, Nev.
Engineered for reliable performance in demanding applications such as concrete mixer, construction, oil field, logging, snow plow or heavy haul, the VHD is tough enough to handle any task while keeping drivers safe and in a comfortable environment.
Two Volvo VHD models will be on display in Volvo’s booth No. C7326. The first, a Volvo VHD 200 8×4 Axle Forward Bridge Formula Mixer, is a Con-Tech concrete mixer with a Volvo D11 engine featuring 385 horsepower, 1,450 pounds-feet of torque and an Allison 4500 RDS transmission.
The front suspension is multileaf with left-hand stiffener and the rear suspension is a 46,000-pound Haulmaax.
The second heavy-duty vehicle is a Volvo VHD 200 6×4 Axle Back concrete mixer with a McNeilus body. The engine is a Volvo D11 with 365 horsepower, 1,350 pounds-feet of torque and an Allison 4500 RDS transmission. The mixer features a parabolic leaf front suspension and a 46,000-pound Haulmaax rear suspension.
