Phillips Hosts Grand Opening of New Electrical Harness Division Facility

Phillips Industries held a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month in Coahuila, Mexico to officially open the company’s newly expanded Electrical Harness Division.

The new facility, which is located near OEM’s that Phillips supplies in Mexico, was built and designed to support the significant growth in its electrical harness business since the move to Mexico six years ago, as well as position the company for the planned further expansion of its electrical harness business.

Modernized lean manufacturing techniques along with in-line testing equipment give the division the ability and flexibility to meet increased customer demands for quality commercial vehicle harnesses. Division products include entire electrical harness systems, both standard and customized, as well as separate harness modules and pigtails.

Based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., Phillips Industries is a leading innovator and manufacturer of advanced electrical and air brake interface equipment for the commercial vehicle industry. Phillips is a major supplier and partner to many top OEMs around the world and is a first choice for top fleets.

The company has manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as in Mexico, China and The Netherlands. Phillips maintains active membership in key industry associations including TMC, SAE, Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and state trucking associations.
