kw prefilter has released a new Kenworth pre-filter that is designed to protect the fresh-air filter on Kenworth models T800, W800, W900, W900L built between 1986 and 2010.

The pre-filter is constructed with one-eighth-inch-thick ABS plastic for durability and uses the company’s same uniquely designed pre-filter material. The pre-filters are made to keep particles of debris such as rubber, dirt, sand and grain chaff from getting into and clogging the pleats of the air filter element.

They are constructed of a proprietary polyester mesh with uniform micron openings and treated with a hydrophobic water repellant process. This pre-filter catches particles as small as .005-inches, which extends the life of an air filter. The filter protect the tractor engine and the performance air filter without sacrificing airflow or horsepower.

This pre-filter is’s latest addition to its existing pre-filter line built to fit over the under- the-hood filter as well as the cabin filters and canisters. Pre-filters can be used over and over again because they are easily cleaned with soap and water.
